Monica founded The Davis Group, Inc., Austin’s first media-buying firm in April 1978, and has directed the company’s course in both commercial and political advertising since its inception. Monica continues to lead The Davis Group as a forerunner in the industry in both traditional and emerging media practices. With more than 40 years of experience in media planning, buying and analysis, Monica is recognized throughout the US as an expert in her field. She is also the founder and President of Teleclip Inc., and currently serves as President of News Data Service, a corporation of 36 news monitoring services located throughout the U.S. Her devotion to the Austin community is evident in her years of service on various boards and her volunteer activities. Monica is currently on the Board of Directors of the Central Texas Better Business Bureau, and will assume the presidency of that organization in 2013.

Meenah Hulsen: Vice President / Director of Political Media

Meenah oversees all political accounts - candidate and issue - in addition to government and non-profit accounts. She works with a variety of consultants and creative agencies around the country to coordinate media for winning campaigns. Meenah specializes in negotiating and strategically planning media buys over various platforms to provide the most effective coverage for campaigns. Her strong background in regulatory, political and issue advertising, as well as consumer advertising contributes to insightful strategy and seamless execution of the planning and buying process. Previous to her tenure at The Davis Group, Meenah served as Broadcast Buying Director on the AT&T account at GSD&Ms Idea City, directing multi-million dollar broadcast media for a number of product lines. Meenah also established political planning and buying divisions for two sizeable Washington, D.C. political consulting firms.

Tracy oversees all consumer accounts including Bailey Banks and Biddle, Green Mountain Energy, Lamb’s Tire and Automotive, State of New Mexico Department of Tourism, Taco Bell and The County Line. One of her primary roles is leading internal, external and new business development efforts for the agency. She has been instrumental in developing business relationships with other agencies and companies both locally and nationally. Tracy’s previous experience includes more than 10 years in media at Austin-based GSD&M. While at GSD&M she managed multimillion-dollar media budgets for many of the nation's top advertisers, including AT&T, MasterCard, Wal-Mart, BMW, Chili's, AARP, the US Air Force, Pennzoil, Dreamworks SKG and Bank of America. She applies her extensive experience in both developing and executing accountability and auditing processes to maximize time and cost efficiencies for her clients.

He fosters an understanding of advanced media analysis and historical media trending. Adam has developed a strong ability to pinpoint media trends and strategically calculate the most cost effective buys per market from his work on previous accounts. His previous experience includes a wide range of accounts from consumer and political to non-profit campaigns.

Stephanie’s accounts include Bailey, Banks, & Biddle, The Better Business Bureau, The Bob Richardson Law Firm, East Texas State Fair, Green Mountain Energy, State of New Mexico Department of Tourism, Taco Bell, and Telemundo. She specializes in utilizing untraditional forms of media to effectively reach target audiences in innovative ways and maximize media budgets. Stephanie is also very practiced in conducting and implementing media-related research on all accounts. Her previous account experience spans a wide spectrum of industries including education, real estate, retail and entertainment. Stephanie helps with placement for political campaigns and contributes to the development of new business presentations.

Pam is the primary media auditor and traffic coordinator for all Davis Group accounts.

Before joining The Davis Group Pam spent 16 years with KVUE-TV, working in both the traffic and national sales departments. She also spent a year with Fast Media, gaining experience in general media and direct response buying. Pam’s attention to detail and strong organizational skills help to ensure timely trafficking, billing and reconciliation for every Davis Group client.

Kristin Pixley: Assistant Media Planner/Buyer

Assistant Media Planner/Buyer

Kristin plays a key role in all political media accounts and coordinates special projects within the agency. She has a notable talent and proclivity for negotiating and placing radio and other forms of media in various markets nationwide. Kristin also collects, tracks and analyzes all competitive spending and market research for political candidates. She currently works on political accounts for candidates and issue campaigns nationwide, as well as KLRU. Additionally, Kristin oversees The Davis Group Internship Program and as coordinator, she continues to educate and train the next generation of media buyers and planners.

Gabriela Hernandez: Communication/Media Coordinator

Gabby is an integral part of The Davis Group’s Communications Platform to integrate and provide Public Relations and emerging communication services to our clients. She also collaborates on consumer and political accounts, assisting in research and untraditional methods of advertising and promotions. Gabby has a propensity for discovering new ways to implement traditional and emerging media that she brings to all projects. She is currently providing such services for Zed’s Restaurant, Lamb’s Tire and Automotive and author Jack London. Gabby also leads internal PR efforts for The Davis Group, Inc.
